It's almost time!

Shakespeare's The Comedy of Errors "On Tour" starts next week
27th-28th June & 4th-5th July 2026
1pm doors open, 2pm all shows start

We’re returning with our popular summer Shakespeare production of one of the Bard’s most farcical comedies - with slapstick, mistaken identity & footy fun - and it starts this weekend!

There will be four touring performances - one each at Bishops Stortford FC, Northgate Primary School, The Gibberd Gardens Harlow, & Birchanger Sports & Social Club.

Depending on the location (see below) you can bring a picnic, wine, blankets, and chairs and enjoy the summer afternoon's entertainment.

Picnic info: at all locations you can bring your own food, blankets & chairs
Bishop's Stortford FC - drinks only at the bar.

Note - the show at BS FC will be held in the BAR.
All other performances will be held outside so bring sunscreen.
Northgate school - bring your own drinks. This will be held outside.
Gibberd Gardens - bring your own drinks
Birchanger S&SC - drinks only at the bar

🏆🏆🏆🏆WLTC is very pleased to have won the Noda poster competition - covering the whole of the East England region - for our recent production in October 2025 of Fairytale Courtroom. It's a great achievement to be recognised, and big congratulations to our very own Granville Rush who designed the poster. Congratulations also to Much Hadham drama group as runners up for their Railway Children's poster, designed by Mark Edwards.

Water Lane Theatre Company is very pleased to have been awarded a capital grant from the Stansted Airport Community Fund.

From village halls to large-scale venues, we’re here for every member and every stage.

WLTC works closely with Isabel Hospice the local Hospice for people living in Bishop’s Stortford, Sawbridgeworth, & surrounding villages throughout East Hertfordshire, providing free specialist care to those who have a life limiting illness. It costs Isabel Hospice almost £8 million each year to continue to provide free specialist care and support to local communities. A gift of £28 would pay for an hour’s care for a patient in their own home, or a Care Home, by one of their Community Nurse Specialists. A gift of £201 would pay for an hour’s specialist nursing for every patient in the In Patient Unit. To enable them to continue to provide this care and support they do so rely on the continued support of local organisations, businesses, Councillors and local communities.
